Ange: “I wrote this song for my daughter Amy in 2013 but it never made it to Bare Foot Folk. I've got dozens of other unrecorded songs but this one kept calling me back.

As a parent I'm painfully aware that one day I won't be around to guide my daughter, and that she must develop the strength to stand on her own feet to survive the world we live in.

Amy is now the age that I was when I was living on the streets in Ireland."
